Camera – Check; Lenses – Check; Extra batteries/SD Cards – Check; Drone – Check; Weather? – Cloudy/Partly Sunny; Somehow the weather forecaster conveniently didn’t mention there would be random downpours throughout the day! Panda Junction is my first outdoor car show I attended so far this year and to have it rain was something I wasn’t expecting! Once I arrived at Ripken Stadium (named after Cal Ripken from the Baltimore Orioles) in Aberdeen, MD, I began photographing the show! Not knowing what the weather was going to do, I needed to move quickly and get my shots. About an hour or so into shooting the show, the clouds got dark and it rained for a good 20 minutes or so but it was like a Florida rain where it rained for a short time and then stopped. Even during the torrential downpour, there was still a long line of spectators waiting in line as far as I could see. Once the dark clouds rolled out, the sun made an appearance and umbrellas went away and and the show was back in full swing. Click the link to see images I captured. I did shoot video as well and will be editing a short car show film soon!
